Terms of Service (U.S. users)
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
Last Updated: August 27, 2026
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, creating an account, and using the services of the Anyone app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, create an account, or use Anyone's services.
Your use of this app constitutes your acceptance of these terms, including any future updates. We will provide you with at least thirty (30) days' notice of any material changes to these Terms, as described in Section 14.
2. Eligibility
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States to use Anyone. By creating an account, you affirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
Age Collection: We ask for your date of birth during registration and use it to confirm you meet the age requirement.
Misrepresentation: Providing false age information is a violation of these Terms. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we will terminate it and delete the associated data.
Other Eligibility: You represent that you are not barred from receiving services under U.S. law.
3. Account Registration & Security
- Registration Methods: You may register with your phone number or with a Google account.
- One-Time Passcodes: We send one-time passcodes by SMS to authenticate you.
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide and maintain true, accurate, current, and complete information.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for activity that occurs under it.
- Unauthorized Access: You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account at safety@anyone.social.
Optional Event Texts
If you separately consent, Anyone may send event texts to your verified mobile number. Event texts may include automatic reminders and event-related messages written by hosts for events you join, such as time, location, cancellation, and other logistical updates.
- Your choice: Consent to event texts is optional and is not a condition of creating an account, joining an event, purchasing anything, or using the Services.
- Frequency and charges: Message frequency varies with the events you join. Message and data rates may apply.
- Stopping messages: Reply STOP to stop event texts or turn them off in Settings → Notifications. Reply HELP for help.
- Host responsibilities: Hosts may use event texts only for event-related messages to people invited to or participating in their events. Hosts may not use event texts for unrelated promotions, spam, harassment, or unlawful content.
- Delivery: Mobile carriers and messaging providers control delivery, so Anyone cannot guarantee that every text will arrive or arrive at a particular time.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE RISK OF MEETING OTHER USERS IN PERSON, ATTENDING EVENTS, OR ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES ORGANIZED THROUGH THE PLATFORM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend (at our option), and hold harmless Anyone, Inc., its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, awards, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs) arising out of or relating to:

13. General Provisions
Governing Law & Venue: These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Services will be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in these courts.
Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Anyone regarding the Services.
Assignment: We may assign these Terms at any time without notice. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them.
Survival: Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to: Content License, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Dispute Resolution.
14. Changes to the Service and to These Terms
Changes to the Service. Anyone is under active development. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including any feature, and including the Service as a whole — at any time, and we may set or change limits on features or restrict access to parts of the Service. These Terms describe the Service as it exists today. They are not a promise that any particular feature will continue to be offered, or that the Service will continue to be offered free of charge.
Changes to These Terms. We may update these Terms at any time. If we make a material change — for example introducing paid features, or beginning a new category of data processing — we will give you at least thirty (30) days' notice before it takes effect, through:
- In-app notification
- Email to your registered email address
- Prominent notice in the app
Non-material changes, such as clarifications, corrections, or updated contact details, take effect when posted, and we will revise the "Last Updated" date above.
If You Disagree. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the Services and delete your account in Settings before the change takes effect.
New Features May Carry Additional Terms. If we introduce a feature that needs terms these do not cover, we will present those terms to you at the time, and they will apply in addition to these Terms.
