These Community Guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. By using Anyone, you agree to follow these guidelines.
Our Commitment
Anyone is built on the belief that real connections happen when people meet in person. Our Community Guidelines ensure that everyone can safely connect, explore, and build meaningful relationships through shared activities.
These guidelines apply to all users and all content on Anyone, including profiles, events, messages, and reviews. Violating these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.
🛡️Safety First
Personal Safety
- Meet in Public: Always choose public, well-lit locations for first meetings
- Tell Someone: Share your plans with friends or family
- Trust Your Instincts: If something feels wrong, leave immediately
- Stay Sober: Keep a clear head when meeting new people
- Protect Personal Info: Don't share financial details, passwords, or home address until you trust someone
Reporting Safety Concerns
If you feel unsafe or notice concerning behavior:
- Use the in-app report button
- Email safety@anyone.social
- Call 911 for immediate danger
- We aim to review reports promptly
✅Be Authentic
Real People Only
- Use your real name and recent photos
- No fake profiles or catfishing
- No impersonation of others
- One account per person
- Must be 18+ to use Anyone
Honest Representation
- Accurately describe events you host
- Use current photos (within 2 years)
- Don't misrepresent your age, identity, or intentions
- Disclose if events have costs or requirements

Inclusive Community
Anyone welcomes people of all:
- Races and ethnicities
- Religions and beliefs
- Sexual orientations
- Gender identities
- Abilities and disabilities
- Socioeconomic backgrounds
No Hate or Harassment
We have zero tolerance for:
- Hate speech or symbols
- Racial slurs or discrimination
- Threats or intimidation
- Bullying or targeted harassment
- Doxxing or sharing private information
- Revenge porn or non-consensual content
Respectful Communication
- No unsolicited sexual messages
- Respect when someone says no
- Don't spam or send mass messages
- Keep criticism constructive
- Use appropriate language in public content
🚫Prohibited Content & Behavior
Violence & Dangerous Activities
Not Allowed:
- Threats of violence or harm
- Promoting self-harm or suicide
- Dangerous challenges or activities
- Weapon sales or displays
- Promoting illegal drug use
- Terrorist or extremist content
Sexual Content
Not Allowed:
- Nudity or sexual content in public profiles
- Solicitation or escort services
- Content involving minors
- Non-consensual sexual content
- Sexually explicit messages without consent
Illegal Activities
Not Allowed:
- Promoting, organizing, or engaging in ANY illegal activity
- Drug sales, purchases, or exchanges
- Underage drinking or substance use
- Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
- Money laundering or financial crimes
- Gambling or illegal betting
- Sale of regulated goods (firearms, prescription drugs, etc.)
- Pyramid schemes or MLM recruitment
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Hacking or unauthorized access to systems
- Any activity that violates local, state, or federal law
Spam & Platform Manipulation
Not Allowed:
- Sending bulk, unsolicited, or repetitive messages
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Using bots or automated systems
- Posting the same content repeatedly
- Manipulating engagement metrics
- Harvesting user information
- Redirecting users to external sites for commercial purposes
- Posting content solely to drive traffic elsewhere
- Chain letters or pyramid schemes
- Deceptive links or clickbait
Commercial Activity
Limited Allowed:
- No spam or excessive self-promotion
- Events can charge admission if disclosed
- No MLM or pyramid scheme recruitment
- Professional networking events are OK
- Must follow FTC disclosure rules
📱Event Guidelines
Hosting Responsibly
Event hosts must:
- Provide accurate event descriptions
- Choose safe, appropriate venues
- Disclose all costs upfront
- Not discriminate against attendees
- Cancel if unable to host safely
- Respond to attendee questions
Attending Respectfully
Event attendees should:
- RSVP accurately
- Arrive on time or notify host
- Respect the venue and host
- Follow event rules
- Not bring uninvited guests without permission
- Leave reviews honestly
Event Types We Don't Allow
- Singles-only events with discriminatory criteria
- Events promoting illegal activities
- Sexually-oriented gatherings
- Political rallies or protests
- Events requiring dangerous activities
- Multi-level marketing presentations
👮Enforcement
IMPORTANT: We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether any content or behavior violates these guidelines. The enforcement actions described below are illustrative and not exhaustive. We may take any action we deem appropriate, including immediate permanent account suspension, with or without prior notice, for any reason or no reason. We have no obligation to provide warnings or follow any particular enforcement sequence.
How We Enforce
- Automated detection systems
- User reports review
- Proactive safety team monitoring
- Partner organization insights
- Law enforcement cooperation
Consequences
Depending on severity:
- Warning: First minor violation
- Content Removal: Violating posts deleted
- Temporary Suspension: 7-30 day timeout
- Permanent Ban: Serious or repeat violations
- Legal Action: For illegal activities
Appeals Process
If you believe your account or content was removed in error:
- Email legal@anyone.social within 14 days of the action
- Include your username and a detailed explanation
- Provide any relevant context or evidence
- You may submit one appeal per enforcement action
- We will review and respond within a reasonable timeframe
- Appeal decisions are final
- Frivolous or abusive appeals may result in permanent ban

We update these guidelines as our community grows. Major changes will be announced via:
- In-app notifications
- Email to all users
- 30-day notice period
Continue using Anyone after updates means you accept the changes.
